Philips Netherlands has commissioned Berns MuseumManagement to guide a research of the realisation of the Philips Museum in Eindhoven. Philips wishes to house its unique historic collection in the former light bulb factory on Emmastraat in Eindhoven. This industrial monument will need to be fully renovated and made suitable for an attractive public presentation of the 120-year history of this leading multinational. The intended location is seen as the cradle of the Philips Group, as it was this complex where Gerard Philips produced his first incandescent light bulbs in 1891.
